Welcome to our virtual fitness & wellness challenge. This program has a dual focus. First, what do you do on a daily basis to stay FIT, exercise and push yourself physically? Second, what foods fuel your body and how do these habit forming choices directly relate to our personal health and energy levels? Excelling in one of these areas is good. Mastering both of them is life changing and necessary to reach your goal of a healthy lifestyle.
To help you do this, Gina & Megs will be sharing some tips, suggestions, articles and other information to help guide you along the way. However, the real inspiration and motivation is going to come from members of your TEAM who are going to push and encourage you each step of the way -- and in return you are going to do likewise. It is no coincidence that we all workout harder, longer and with more energy in a group environment where we have are friends (and even strangers) to push us to do “just one more” and inspire us through a tough workout and show us just how much we are capable of doing.
6FIT (4 weeks)
Starts Monday, September 19th
Please purchase a DanceFIT package. We recommend a package that allows you to take 4 classes per week. Purchase the $18 6FIT participation fee and email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the program.
+ Workout 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week (this could be simple, like a walk!
+ Log your daily food & drink intake into the shared spreadsheet
+ We recommend committing to 4 danceFIT classes per week. These can be in the studio or in our virtual studio.
+ Eat 6 servings of fruits/ veggies a day (4 veggies, 2 fruits)
+ Aim for 7+ hours of sleep a night
+ Drink 60+ ounces of water a day
+ Participate in the weekly challenges
+ You must take at least 1 "weekend" DanceFIT class (Virtual or Natick) By weekend we mean Fri, Sat or Sun workout. Weekends are a busy time for many, especially in June. Try and commit to a workout to stay focused.
+ You must have a fb account and join our private FB group. You don't have to be active on your personal account, but we ask that you help motivate your teammates.
How it works...
You'll join a team of 6 other DanceFIT clients & we'll connect you via email, zoom & social media. Your team will compete against other teams of 6 for prizes. Each team can track their progress & see how they compare to other teams via our shared 6FIT spreadsheet. The best part? Anyone in the world can join!
