What should I wear?
Adult classes do not have a dress code, but we recommend wearing comfortable workout clothes that allow you to move freely. socks, bare feet, and ballet shoes are fine for barre classes. If you do balletFIT everyday, consider investing in a pair of ballet shoes. Zumba classes require sneakers.
What should I bring to class?
We provide the mats, resistance bands & weights. Please bring a bottle of water. Clients are welcome to bring their own mats too.

How do I find out about weather cancellations?
We will email you 3 hours prior to the start of class. also check Facebook & Twitter for announcements. You'll receive class credit on your mind body account for use at another time.
How big is a full class?
We allow 13 clients in a class. If a class is full, you have the option to be on a wait list. We'll alert you the moment a spot opens up. Classes with less than 3 clients pre-registered (4 hours prior to class time) may be canceled. We will notify you via email and be able to use the class at another time.
If I signed up for a class but can't attend, will I be charged?
You have up until 4 hours prior to the start of class to cancel without penalty. If you cancel within that time frame, you'll get the class back in your account for future use. If you see "late cancel" as the only option, you will lose the class regardless if someone takes your spot. Clients with unlimited packages pay a $10 late cancel fee. We make exceptions in emergencies, however; we understand that life happens!
What if I have a previous injury or medical condition?
Always check with your healthcare provider prior to starting any new exercise regimen. Please tell your instructor about your injury or medical condition and she will certainly let you know if there are any safety concerns you should be mindful of before starting the class. Our instructors are incredibly accommodating and offer modifications for pretty much everything we do here.
Can I work out if I'm pregnant?
As Gina would say... "did you see me on Brookline Access Television leading a class at 7 months pregnant?!" The short answer: yes! But we do ask that you tell us if you're expecting, along with a note from your physician stating you may begin working out with us. We modify our classes and exercises safely for all stages of your pregnancy.
I'm an adult who has never danced before but want to try a class. Will I feel out of place?
It's never too late! We are known for our challenging, yet laid-back fitness atmosphere where you can progress at your own pace. Our small class sizes, experienced teachers and friendly clients will make you feel comfortable the moment you step in our studio.
Do I have to be in really good shape or coordinated to take these classes?
Absolutely not. Our studio is non-competitive, and our instructors promote a judgement-free environment. So come ready to reach your maximum potential & be prepared to sweat!
May I still drop in if I can't sign up online?
To make sure you get into the class, your best bet is to register in advance. If you can't register online, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can reserve a spot for you.
How often does the schedule change?
We add classes every few months or so to allow for more flexibility & different workouts for our clients.
Can I extend my package if I can't make it to all the classes in the 60 day period?
Clients with 5, 10 or 20 class packages cannot roll over classes. no exceptions. if you're uncertain, you can always take a single class for $15.
If I'm on the wait list for a class but can no longer attend, how do I remove myself from the wait list?
On the mind body site, please go to:
1. my schedule
2. you will see "wait list" on the right side (above "cancel"). select "wait list."
3. simply click "cancel" next to the class that's listed.
