Are you ready for an awesome Fall challenge?! The inspiration behind this challenge is very personal. I am grateful for each busy busy day. I am grateful for my health, opportunities, amazing clients & family. I am sure many of you share the same gratitude. We are all so lucky to be able to move, dance, stretch, run & connect with others!
I am really big on making to do lists, as they keep me organized and less stressed ha. Often on my lists I schedule a run or a DanceFIT class, but with everything else going on that often got pushed off. NOW I put that at the top of the list and I know once I get that checked off the rest of the tasks are done happily and efficiently. This next challenge is going to be all about YOU, regardless of what life is throwing at you.
Here is what has helped me!
I have an accountability partner. We text each other daily and take classes/ go on runs (many times they are virtual runs) and it is a little funny, but we text each other pictures of our meals, the good & bad, but we aim for healthy options as much as we can. We help each other during the tough times and praise each other for the little things. Every day is a fresh slate. We never “fall off the wagon” because there is no such thing. Life is life and we just want each other to feel good & energized. Thank you to my friend Sandra for being my partner the past year and a half!
The danceFIT community! It is like having a fit family cheer you on always. Keep coming to classes. Talk to your teachers….they want you to meet your goals and most importantly find joy in fitness.
I am prioritizing simple, healthy eating. One day I was sharing with Leigh my frustration of making time for food prep. As a former chef (we used to trade classes for pasta when she was a client!!) she had some wonderful advice for me, but mostly sharing that it doesn’t have to be hard! Simple is better. I laughed and told her I just need a meal plan and a personal chef (don’t we all!?!) The best thing happened at that moment - we talked about workouts/ food/ protein/ grains/ energy/ etc. and I realized what an amazing healthy eating chef and resource about food Leigh is! About a month ago she started cooking a few weekly meals for me. Wow, what a difference I have felt! Energy is high, happiness is high, pants are much looser and my workouts feel stronger. Food is my fuel!
---- enough about me, lets talk about this new challenge!
I will match you up with a group of 3-4 ladies (FIT Survey will come via email a few days before the program begins) so you are in the right group. You will text each other your meals (we will set some guidelines so you don’t get 20 texts a day of snacks & dinners...) You will set a goal at the beginning of the program. Everyone is different so we will not be setting goals for you, each of you should share 1 fitness goal for the week and each week you will check in and reset with your group.
DanceFIT will always be here for you. The more you take class the better you feel. The DanceFIT teachers are so excited to be involved in this challenge and every Monday/Wednesday/ Friday we will email you a tip from a teacher and post on the group fb page.
Leigh will be sharing all things nutrition related. Yes, fruits & veggies are a focus, but with high activity level, long days and a strong & healthy body in mind, she has many tips/ formulas and goals for you to set. Included in our daily email Leigh will be sharing food tips!
3 week program: Begins September 22nd - October 13th
10 classes required (Please purchase a package or unlimited package. Feel free to use an existing package.)
If you take 20 classes within the 3 weeks, you will receive a 30 minute one on one lesson with me :)
Requirements for you
3 DanceFIT classes per week (in studio or virtual)
Must read every mail sent to entire group (sent every Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday)
Active participation with your FITSquad
Provide your FITSquad with your phone number for sending/ receiving texts - comfortable guidelines will be set
Must stay in touch with your FITSquad under all circumstances - good or bad. These ladies will become your FITfamily. I want you to encourage, motivate & challenge each other.

Schedule your workouts in advance.
You are required to take 10 classes during the 3 weeks. (Studio ladies ~ RunClub counts as a class. Virtual ladies ~ if you run for an hour on Thursday you can count this as a class too! Please email me a screenshot of your running stats.) Complete this goal of 10 classes and enter a drawing to win something from the DanceFIT store.
Aim for the ultimate goal of taking 20 DanceFIT classes to earn a private lesson with me :) (Yes, that is going to mean you take some double headers 😉)

Virtual ladies - Must attend virtual kick off Sunday, September 22 6:10-7 PM
All Participants - Must attend at least 1 of Leigh’s 15 minute virtual nutrition seminars/ Sunday, September 22th @ 8 PM (Food as delicious fuel) &/ or Sunday, September 29th at 8 PM (Breaking Down Recipes).We hope to record these for you!
