Spring 2020 Recital Week Wednesday June 10 - Tuesday June 16
At DanceFIT we don't do a big recital. We spend the school year learning technique and developing strong, creative, and well trained dancers. We introduce choreography in our April - June session, and spend about 5-10 minutes per class practicing. During the last week of classes in June, we hold an informal, but special, in-studio performance or "recital".
Our Philosophy This event is such a special opportunity for your child. It's a lovely, stress-free chance for our dancers to perform in front of family & friends. We believe that hosting the recital in the intimate setting of our studio space will help build self-confidence & performance skills while retaining the comforts of a familiar environment. We will award all dancers with a certificate of accomplishment at the end of the performance. You may invite friends & family to attend. The dancers look forward to showing off all that they have learned and practiced.
Costumes (no costumes!) Spring session tuition includes an $18 recital fee. This helps us cover recital costs including a special headpiece (ie: a bow or headband) for each dancer to wear during their performance and to keep afterwards. Students wear their dress code for the performance. Hair should be pulled back into a neat bun. We will demonstrate the bun-making process in early June (its not as difficult as it may seem!).
Recital Schedule Spring 2020 Recital Week: Wednesday June 10 - Tuesday June 16 Dancers will perform on the last day of their class. For Natick and Weston classes, all recitals will be held one class at a time at the class's regular start time. Brookline classes will receive information on performance times after the session begins.
