$35/ participation fee + class package

includes:
- a cute welcome packet with 4 weeks of planning templates
- a pre-recorded DanceFIT workout
- virtual stretch and chat sessions
​- community connection chat on Mighty Networks
​- community cookbook club
- a cooking tutorial with Chef Leigh
- and a wonderful connection with your FITfriends

About the challenge

1) Plan your week on on a beautifully designed template by our Adult Fitness Manager / Instructor Sandra.  Plan on pen & paper and hang on the fridge!
​
2) Eat fruits, veggies, and whole grains: Aim for 6 servings of fruits and veggies and 1 of whole grains (check them off as you eat them)

3) Plan workouts: Aim for 3 DanceFIT classes and 3 extra movement workouts (walking, stretching, dancing in your kitchen, extra DanceFIT classes, etc.)

4) Plan meals: Plan out your meals & snacks for the week to encourage mindful eating.  We will be using this cookbook for inspiration: "The Clean Plate" by Gwyneth Paltrow (grab it at your library or purchase a copy - it is Chef Leigh's most used cookbook she owns... and that's saying a lot!)

5) Daily self care: Take a long bath, meditate, get extra sleep, do a face mask, take Deep Stretch, journal... connect to whatever makes you happy.

6) Chat & share: We will communicate, meet new FIT friends and build community & support online with our new platform Mighty Networks.  We will host special live Zoom stretch & chat sessions once a week, exclusively for challenge participants.

7) Special classes: Enjoy a virtual pre-recorded "Sweat, Tone, and Stretch" class only for PlanFIT participants: 30 minutes, a little bit of everything.  Take it as many times as you like during PlanFIT, it can count as a DanceFIT class or Extra Movement.  Also, we are offering an included Virtual Cooking class with Chef Leigh!  (cost of this class is included in your PlanFIT fee)  :)

I like the food planning. My personal goal was to be more aware of what I’m eating, and even if I don’t follow the sheet exactly how I planned it, I’m sticking to three meals and one snack.

It is a great way to take the stress out of planning. Plan when you have time, then just execute as the week gets busy. Honestly, I'm not going back!
 
I think having a really simple to follow weekly plan is helping me stay on track. I’ve never actually written down my meal plan (just batch cooked), and I’ve never been successful with that for whatever reason. Setting those intentions at the outset of the week provides a great framework to follow with the worksheets. It seems like a sustainable model to follow once the challenge is over, too!
 
Having the planning sheet prepared at the beginning of each week has helped with more mindful eating, incorporating self-care more, and planning (and sticking to!) workouts.
 
Yes- 100%. I live by my planner and my water bottle. I feel accountable, but I don't feel like I've had to deprive myself. It's definitely motivating to be involved with the challenge.
 
There isn't anything new in the plan as I try to pay attention to all the areas covered, but having them organized in one place has helped me be even more mindful about taking care of myself. It has also helped me create time for more classes than I usually take.
 
I love it all. Thank you so much to Sandra for all her hard work. Her commitment, passion and encouragement are priceless.
 
I love connecting with my Dancefit community through this challenge! We celebrate all those little things that add up to taking great care of yourself, whether it's drinking enough water, taking time for ourselves to read or take an exercise class. And of course, my favorite topic to chat about: food! I am really looking forward to starting 2022 with my friends beside me! We could all use a little more support and encouragement right now.
