Scheduling: Class schedules are subject to change. We reserve the right to combine or adjust class times to reach needed enrollment numbers.
Lobby: Our lobby is open as a quiet space. Please be sensitive to the small size of the space, the limited seating, and the fact that noise in the lobby can be very distracting to class going on in the studio. This policy is subject to change. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your class start time, to allow for the class before yours to clear out. It is not required that you stay while your dancer is in class (with the exception of Tippy Toes classes), please feel free to drop-off and return for pickup. Drop-off may be the best choice if your dancer could be distracted by your presence in the next room. The view of class is best from outside in the parking lot through the large windows.
Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather, we will make a decision at least 2 hours prior to the start of class time and notify you of closures via email and on our social media channels. If your class is cancelled, you receive a voucher code for credit off your next registration or purchase. A maximum of one voucher code per class, per session.
Sickness, Attendance and Make Up Class Policy: If a dancer is feeling sick they should not come to class. Likewise for any family members who would come into the lobby. We thank you for helping to keep the community healthy.
Due to the continuous nature of our class schedule and the individualized progression within each group, we are unable to offer make up classes for missed classes. We thank you for your understanding and support, and we’re always happy to share at-home practice ideas if your dancer would like to stay engaged while away.
If it becomes necessary to close the studio for health and safety reasons, classes will move to the virtual platform. No refunds will be issued in the event of a health safety related closure. We understand that occasional absences occur due to illness, vacations or family commitments, and we truly appreciate your efforts to keep unwell children at home — it helps us maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone.
Refund Policy for Cancellation of Session: The tuition for remaining classes can be credited in full to your DanceFIT account to use towards a future enrollment/purchase or can be refunded to your payment method minus a $30 refund fee.
Summer Dance Days Refund Policy: Refunds are available for summer dance days up to 7 days before your session begins. You may choose full credit to your DanceFIT account to be used in the future or refund to your payment method minus $30 fee per enrollment. Cancelling within the 7 days results in a 50% credit or refund.
Single Date Workshop/Event Refund Policy: Refunds are available for workshops up to 5 days before your workshop. You may choose full credit to your DanceFIT account to be used in the future or refund to your payment method minus the $30 processing fee. Cancelling within 5 days before your workshop (for any reason other than illness) results in a 50% credit or refund. In the event that you must cancel due to illness within 5 days of the event, a credit will be issued.
Trial Class Policy: Due to fully-enrolled classes, we are not able to offer trial classes for prospective students, although observation opportunities may be available. We encourage interested families to register for the class they are most interested in and to participate in the class for a minimum of three weeks before making a decision about fit. We find that it can take time for the young dancers to get accustomed to and comfortable with dance class. Please reach out to Ms. Amanda with any questions or concerns ([email protected]).
Placement: *Tippy Toes dancers must be at least 2 years old at the start of the session*. For all other levels (Pre-Ballet I, ages 3 and up) dancers may enter the next level if they will age into it within the session. For example, if your dancer will turn 5 in October, they are eligible to take Pre-Ballet II in the Fall session.
Photography: We share fun dance photos and videos with our students for practicing, on our website and on our social media for promotional and community-building purposes. These images may include group shots, candid moments, or performance footage where your child may be recognizable. We do not tag or identify any children by name. We also have access to professional photography and videography during some classes, special events and recitals that we occasionally share at no additional cost to dance families. By enrolling your child in our studio and signing our Photo Release, you acknowledge and agree that:
-Your child may appear in photographs or videos taken by the studio or other attendees during public events (e.g., recitals). -These images may be used by DanceFIT for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media pages, flyers, and other marketing materials.
-You understand that it is not feasible to completely restrict photography in group or public settings.
If you have a concern about your child being photographed or would like to opt out please contact Ms. Amanda directly at [email protected] so we may discuss accommodations.
